Principal Michael McGrone Sr. author of the best selling book "The Twists & Turns of Possibility: My Life is My True Story” has traveled the country speaking at Youth Facilities, has a powerful testimony and is a living example of how you can change your story.
He has helped young men reform themselves and see a greater purpose by relating to them and using controversial, alternative, yet highly effective methods.
His work received national coverage on the Rachel Ray show.
Michael was nominated, “Teacher of the Year” by Jesse Jackson Operation Push and in 2018 received the prestigious Chicago Unsung Hero award
Our workshop helps provides hope to the youth in many different ways

About Mr. McGrone-Transformation specialist
Michael experienced numerous challenges throughout his life. He grew up at a time in Gary Indiana where the city was ravaged by drugs and violence. He lost numerous friends to gun violence and was a victim of violence himself, even having had a gun put to his head. Physically abused, failing third grade, graduating high school with a 1.2 GPA, and homeless his first year in college, Michael was enraged at the world and the cards he was dealt; however, he would push through his pain to eventually attain greatness.
Despite his harrowing background, Michael went on to become the first African American Assistant Principal in Bishop Noll's 88-year existence (a Catholic school located in Hammond, IN). He would also graduate with his masterʼs degree from Governors State with a 3.8 GPA in educational leadership.
Michael brings over 25 years of experience working with students. Heʼs worked at numerous group homes, psychiatric facilities, and both alternative and charter schools. The struggles he encountered throughout his life would give him the tools necessary to propel students to greatness. Michael regularly serves as a keynote speaker for numerous organizations to share his journey and inspire others. He currently resides in Chicago, IL.
Michael has a passion for the youth. The struggles he encountered throughout his life gave him the tools necessary to propel students to achieve their potential. He is very charismatic, passionate, and transparent about his life experiences.
